How to Create a Marketing List in CRM Dynamics 2011
In this post i am going to explain, how you can create and manage marketing list using CRM Dynamics 2011.
Creating a marketing list
Here i am giving example of my working environment, you can easily convert this example according to your scenario. If you have any questions please ask thanks
– To create a marketing list click on “Marketing” in the bottom left hand menu bar
Click on “Marketing Lists” on the left menu
Click on “New” from the top ribbon bar

– To create a new marketing list click “New”
– Choose a suitable name for your list. NAMING CONVENTION AGREED WILL BE LISTED HERE Prefix the name with MRA_ Please note that many departments will have access to CRM and as such compliance with the naming convention here, and elsewhere is mandatory.
– Choose the “Member Type” – this should be “Prospects “ for potential students and “Contacts” for current students and alumni.
– Choose the “Type” –
- If you choose “Dynamic” in the “Type” field the marketing list will automatically update based on the criteria and contents of the Advanced Find search that apply to this list
- If you choose “Static” in the type field then the marketing list will take the current contents of the advance find search but will not update members automatically in the future
– Click “Save” from the top ribbon menu.
– Choose the “Member Type”
– Choose the “Type”
- If you choose “Dynamic” in the “Type” field the marketing list will automatically update based on the criteria and contents of the Advanced Find search that apply to this list
- If you choose “Static” in the type field then the marketing list will take the current contents of the advance find search but will not update members automatically in the future
– Click “Save” from the top ribbon menu.

– Click “Manage Members” in the top ribbon bar
– In the pop up box Choose “Use Advanced Find” to add members and click “OK”.

– Use the drop down box on “Use Saved View” and select a saved query that you have made earlier
– Click “Find”.

– Select the students you would like to add to the marketing list as required.
– Click “Add to marketing list”.

– You can then click on “Save and Close” from the top ribbon bar to finalise and confirm your marketing list. This can then be used for various campaigns.
