Also, you can attach different types of articles with emails through Outlook.
Recreating tasks, contacts, documents etc. to the CRM takes too much time. Through Dynamics CRM for Outlook, you can easily transfer your emails, contacts, documents and tasks from Outlook to your CRM. After transferring all these, you can again manage these from your Outlook. So, everything is at your hand. 🙂
Dynamics CRM app for Outlook Installation
Step1. Login to your account and click on the settings button from top right corner,
Step2. Click on the “Apps for Dynamic CRM” link
Step3. Click on “Download Dynamic CRM for Outlook” button and save the executable file
Step4. If download is not started and you get this window, please click on the following link
Step 5. Run executable file. In the Browse for Folder dialog box, select a folder to store the extracted Outlook files. It’s recommended to extract files in a separate folder.
Step 6. On the License Agreement page, select I accept the license agreement, and then click Next.
Step 7. Click Install Now button to install Dynamics CRM for Outlook to install it without offline capability. To install Dynamics 365 for Outlook with offline capability, click Options, select the Offline Capability check box on the Customize Installation page, and then click Install Now. If you don’t install offline capability during installation, you can add it later by choosing Go Offline in Dynamics 365 for Outlook.
Step 8. Installation is done. Now it’s time to configure it. Run configuration wizard from all programs of your computer and click on Add button. It will open the following window. Please putt your server address and click on Connect button. It will ask for username and password. Put your username and password.
You have installed and configured your “Dynamics CRM for Outlook” app.
Dynamics CRM for Outlook Settings
You can change your personal settings easily. Let’s see step by step,
1. From the ribbon, click on the File tab.
2. Now click on the CRM -> Options
3. This will open the following window. On General tab, you can change general settings. You can change your Email settings from E-mail tab. You can use all other tabs for your personal settings.
4. You can create a quick access toolbar where you can do all CRM related activities like creating new records, creating contacts, making appointment etc. At first right click on the ribbon and click on Show Quick Access Toolbar Above the Ribbon. You can add or remove buttons from quick access ribbon.
5. To access Quick Access Toolbar, click on CRM tab and then choose your options from the Quick Access Toolbar.
6. You can also search people from this toolbar
